  1. 🎶 I’m so happy to finally really like an opening yacht tune~ Jackie Blue. Great band as well. In 1979, when I’d just turned 18, I had an album by O.M.D in which there was a song that I absolutely adored. I cannot remember the album title nor the song title, but I do remember the band. Thank you for the great song. Jackie Blue thrilled me with its strange lyrics. Like Jackie Blue, I also went places that I’d never been. And I’d keep going again if I could just remember how. Good times.
I wonder if that song, 🎶Sylvia’s Mother 🎶 would be considered Yacht (I can’t bring myself to write “Rock”. As we all should know, that music doesn’t rock. It soothes. Guess they play it to ease those with sea-sicknesses. What’d you think, y’all?
😳 I missed the live today. My husband had an accident in our home- he fell down the stairs backward from pretty high up. I watched it happen. It was horrific! How he lived through that, still blows my mind. Broke 5 ribs and the 2 long bones on either side of his wrist. Holy Moley! It’s been a rough couple daze. Even with 7 broken bones and in obvious SEVERE PAIN, the Urgent Care doctor refused to give him a prescription for real pain meds. What the fuck is up with these sick bastards! They are brainwashed by their handlers to think moderate to several pain patients are addicts. We know plenty of ppl who actually sell the good stuff and could buy it off the street, but we don’t. I’ve been suffering with repercussions of Lyme disease since 1990, including degenerative dick disease- every disk in my back is either slipped or ruptured. I slipped my disco.

  2. I AM one of those people who want live music to sound like the studio version. Big time. Too many bands end up sounding like jazz- which simply JARS my soul. It’s hard to explain. I need my music to FLOW. Anyway., I was at a concert in late 1989 that sounded EXACTLY like the tape I played over and over while dancing around with my 3 little babies. AND the singers were two GORGEOUS men who were putting on one hellova show, dancing and doing acrobatics while flipping those long braids of their around. It was one of my favorite concerts ever. Who, you ask, was this band that made me so very happy? Millie Vanillie. Girl. You know it’s true. 😍
I absolutely adore the Eagles music ! They were playing often in the background during some of my more happier moments of my life. Though I completely agree with you, Sir Robert. Don Henley is an asshole. Tho I managed to find many of my favorite Eagles songs on YouTube that he hadn’t torn down yet that I placed on my own YouTube channel’s Funeral Songs playlist. Good stuff, Maynard.
